Victoria’s Secret

When I was first hired at Victoria’s Secret, I was responsible for producing all editorial copy for the site. This included all copy for the homepage, as well as the landing pages.
I wrote copy for the Victoria’s Secret brand, as well as other brands that were featured on a seasonal basis on the site.
After I had been at Victoria’s Secret for a few months, my position changed and I was tasked with also producing the copy that was included on the Victoria’s Secret app. I was still responsible for writing all editorial copy in addition to these expanded role duties.
Editorial Copy

Victoria’s Secret launched a new site on an approximate two-week cadence. Each site launch necessitated new editorial copy for the feature and all modules on the homepage and landing pages. Wireframes were provided by merchandisers outlining the projected setup for each page of the website with FPO imagery provided. Copy was then produced in collaboration with design. Once copy and design were aligned, merchants reviewed the layout and provided any feedback. Design and copy continued to be in communication during this process ensuring character count did not impinge on design. A final review was then given by the creative director, and any further edits incorporated before site launch.
Editorial Copy
Victoria’s Secret App
The app team was briefed weekly by marketing for the following week’s deliverables. Several modules were typically requested per week with at least one carousel. Each module featured either Victoria’s Secret or Victoria’s Secret Beauty products. Sales and product launches were mostly what was included in the app’s creative schedule. Design and copy worked collaboratively with copy first being provided to design, and then design requesting tweaks pending projected layout. This is a selection of the work I completed while writing for this team.
Brands We Love LP
Site
The Brands We Love LP was a dedicated landing page for featured brands on the Victoria’s Secret website. These brands would rotate on a seasonal basis. As copywriter for this page, I was tasked with writing a brand bio for each vendor that fused both the Victoria’s Secret brand voice and that of the featured brand. For some brands further information was required that called out product features and other aspects of the history of these brands.
Leonisa Collection Page
Site
Leonisa was one of the recurring brands featured on the Brands We Love page. Wireframes for this page were provided by merchandisers, and I collaborated with design to produce the page’s feature, a module recounting the history of the brand, and a carousel that called out the shaping benefits of the pieces included in the collection.
Nette Rose Collection Page
Site
This copy was written for the Nette Rose collection page, one of the featured brands on the Brands We Love LP. Copy was intended to familiarize the Victoria’s Secret customer with the South African lingerie brand.
